Intervention Area

MALMON project is intervening in 13 rural villages where mangrove swamp rice is practiced. The selection of the sites of intervention privileged the villages targeted by the Project Ianda Arruz and maximised the area of coverage, integrating diversity of microclimatic conditions and agro-ecologies as well as heterogeneity of ethnic groups, production systems and management practices. This multi-sited approach intend to maximize synergies with other project interventions and to foster knowledge and innovation exchanges through the staging of a young farmers-researchers network
